Even since we first listened to the song „Dime” we knew it would be a hit! Now we are listening to it everywhere and we just can’t get enough from putting it on repeat. Jack Perry is the creator of one of the international hits of this year and, by his kindness, he offered us this super interview EXCLUSIVE FOR ROMANIA, from where you can learn more about the story of success of this super talented dj originar from France!
Hello, Jack and welcome to our magazine!
First of all, tell us how did the story of success begin for you?
It is the result of a team’s work which believed in DIME and did everything to broadcast it around the world.
What are currently your main challenges as a DJ?
To be compared with great DJs and to always be on top to reach their level.
What are your main sources of inspiration for your mixes and for your own songs?
I do not have a favorite artist, I listen to a lot of different style in order to create mine.
How was „Dime”created? Have you ever expected such a success for this song?
It was created in our home studio in Toulouse, south of France, with a friend who is also a composer.
We were looking for a different style by mixing latino and EDM which has never been made before DIME.
Which country from those where you travelled and dj-ed have you enjoyed the most?
Spain, because there is a real clubbing culture where the biggest DJs perform but i have not done all the planet yet.
Do you know that „Dime” is one of the most listened songs currently in Romania? What do you know about our artists?
Yes, i follow Dime and its path, performances through all the labels that signed for it, so i am glad to see that dime is on top 1 Shazam in Romania.
Romania launched many artists in Europe and worldwide such as Inna. I have never been to Romania but it seems that there is a real party spirit, Romanian look like to know how to party 🙂
Would you like to come for a concert here?
Of course, yes, I am waiting for it and I would like to make you discover my world, I can’t wait for it !
How do you make your sets? Are you influenced by your audience’s influences or do you go only for your own vibe?
I always prepare my set, but I always let space for spontaneity to see how the public would react.
I have my own style, but I listen my audience’s reaction because after all what i do it is for them.
Which song ever time do you like and hate the most?
In fact, I have two songs that I like, I always try to play them on my set, these songs are : Fragma « Toca me » and Florence and the Machine « You got the love »
I do not hate a particular song, if I do not like it, I do not listen it.
