Let's start from the beginning and answer the question that is most often on the lips of Romanians, and not only. What is the immune system? According to Wikipedia, "the immune system is a term used in biology to define the defence mechanisms of living organisms against pathogens". To simplify the definition, we can say that for the body, the immune system is a protective shield against infection. It is therefore easy to understand that the role of the immune system is to protect the body from pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, diseases and toxins. We acquire what is called 'innate immunity' from the first day of life, but it can change over time if we do not supplement it with various vitamins.

Choose a balanced diet
By following a balanced diet, which should contain a significant amount of macronutrients, such as protein, carbohydrates and fat, and micronutrients, i.e. vitamins and minerals, you are one step closer to a better and healthier lifestyle. In addition, doctors recommend always having fruit, vegetables and whole grains on the menu. An apple a day keeps the doctor away! ;)

If you don't have a nutrient-rich diet, especially in the cold season, you should definitely turn to dietary supplements to help boost your immunity. These supplements are a variety of combinations of plant extracts, minerals and vitamins. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins for the immune system, and a lack of this vitamin makes the body more prone to illness. However, remember that before taking any dietary supplement, you should seek advice from your doctor.
