Ed Sheeran has released a new single, "Bad Habits"
After the extensive tour she did to promote the album "Divide."Ed Sheeran took a break to spend more time with his family, and "Bad Habits" officially marks his return to the spotlight. Sheeran is an artist driven by nonconformity, and today's release proves it. The new single has an unexpected, uptempo sound, not missing the guitar sound that made him famous, with a tremendous energy that looks set to become the soundtrack of the summer. Ed wrote and produced "Bad Habits" along with his collaborators Johnny McDaid ("Shape of You") and FRED ("No.6 Collaborations Project").
In the video directed by Dave Meyers (who has also worked with Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar) we can watch Ed in a new guise, revealing a vampire alter ego who spends a crazy night with a group of similar characters, and at the end, at sunrise, metamorphoses into himself.
"It's great to be back with my new single. I wanted to play a character inspired by a fantasy world in the video and decided on vampires. It was a lot of fun to get into character, except for the scenes filmed at height (that wasn't fun anymore). Enjoy!"said Ed Sheeran.
To celebrate the new track, Ed is performing a live concert from Ipswich Town especially for the UEFA Euro 2020 show broadcast exclusively on the Tik Tok platform.
Ed Sheeran is currently hard at work recording a new album.
