Nikos Vertis is ready to delight Romania again, with two concerts at Sala Palatului Bucharest

Nikos Vertis, undisputedly Greece's most beloved artist, will make a splash with the biggest bouzoukia party in Romania on October 6 at Sala Palatului. The artist, who has won several platinum records for his compositions, will give us two extraordinary concerts of Greek music in October.

The performer has been captivated by our country since the first year he performed here and can't wait to return to his fans in Romania:"For me Romania is like a second home. I am very impressed by the loyalty of the Romanian public, who have been humming my songs for six years, even if they don't know Greek, which reinforces my belief that music is a universal language. I always come back with great pleasure and that's why for this year's show I have prepared something special, exclusively for my fans here." says Nikos Vertis.

From Melbourne, Sydney and New York to Tel Aviv and London, Nikos Vertis has delighted Greek music-loving audiences on the great stages of the world. Greece's best-loved artist, for whom fans from all corners of the world have developed a real passion and who has even been given a street named after him by his Canadian fans, is a real hysteric at his concerts.

Nikos Vertis, who has been dubbed the "New Great Laïka Performer", the mix of traditional Greek music with pop and dance, an ambassador to the world of the Greek way of feeling expressed in music, was born in the Netherlands and arrived in Greece at the age of 6. Even then he already knew how to play the traditional Greek instrument bouzouki, and a few years later he started studying singing.

The clubs of Thessaloniki were the first stages where Nikos Vertis performed, and gradually the fame of what was becoming one of the best voices in Greece spread throughout the country and brought him a contract with Universal Studios.

Songs from his first album, "It Gets Dark Fast", quickly become hits and Vertis wins the award for best debut. Vertis's first single release, "Tell Me Again", also goes platinum, as does Vertis's next album - "How I Spend My Evenings Alone". The sensitivity of the tracks on the Greek singer's fourth album meant that they immediately became radio hits and for a whole summer in 2007, the whole of Greece was humming along to Nikos Vertis' music alone. Two platinum discs also went to this album, one of the public's favourites. Last year the song "I love you" spent several weeks at number one in Greece, as the song was composed especially for young audiences.

Nikos Vertis' fame began to spread beyond Greece and soon he was performing on major stages in Australia, the United States, Canada and Europe.
